Will you read my e-mails or get my contacts?
No! The Chrome extension inserts snippets of text and reads words to insert the text. Variables such as your name or your contacts name maybe be used in templates.
However none of that information is sent to our servers!
All is done locally on your computer. Not your contacts information, nor your e-mail contents will get to our servers.
What data do you collect?
By default only anonymous and quantitative data is collected.
Anonymous means that it's not possible for us to identify who is using the extension. We don't collect your email adivress, the email content or the sites you visit, etc...
Quantitative means that we send information about the usage. Here's an example of data we collect:
- When you insert a template in your email template we send how big was the template inserted - not the content of the template
- When you create a new template we send how big was that template - not the content of the template
- And so on..
We collect this data using Mixpanel and Google Analytics which are the industries standard
Any of the above information collection can be disabled from the Options menu of the extension. No hard feelings. We respect your privacy.
What about my templates and other private data?
Your data is your data. You own it. There is no lock-in, you can at any time, export, modify or close your account permanently. If you decide to take away your data with you we guarantee to take all the steps to ensure that your is safely erased (including backups). One exception to this is historical billing information (if any).
